Chris Paul has gotten it the last few years off reputation. Time for some new blood on there. OP will be updates as I get more stats ______________________________________________ "Westbrook shot 16.7% when guarded by Beverley, who contested 10 of Westbrook's 12 attempts as his primary defender."
At -6.0% FG Differential, Bev is the best among starting guards at contesting shots over 15 feet. http://on.nba.com/2lOah1U
Bev is a beast. He does so many little things that you can't judge of box score. His impact to the Rockets play goes way beyond the box score. Already a one time Taco Bell Pollo Loco All Star SKills contest Champion and 2nd team ALL NBA defense, surely deserves the step up to 1st team ALL NBA Defense Consummate professional who I hope retires a Rocket (despite _holic telling us Rockets have looked to trade Bev since last summer and all through this season)
This thread's ceiling is the roof Off-topic: Have they considered changing the name from Taco Bell Pollo Loco All Star SKills to Taco Bell Naked Chicken Skills
Top defenders at PG position based on DRPM who play at least 20 mpg: Code: RK NAME TEAM GP MPG DRPM 1 Chris Paul LAC 41 31.3 3.59 2 Patrick Beverley HOU 49 30.5 1.53 3 George Hill UTAH 37 31.7 1.27 4 Ish Smith DET 61 23.5 0.92 5 Jrue Holiday NO 47 32.8 0.74 6 Marcus Smart BOS 59 31.0 0.66 7 Kyle Lowry TOR 56 37.7 0.63 8 Ricky Rubio MIN 56 32.3 0.50 9 TJ McConnell PHI 61 25.2 0.21 10 Andrew Harrison MEM 56 20.9 0.18
Chris Paul has gotten the nod based on much more than reputation, he's awesome. Having said that, I can make a strong argument for 2 PG's being on 1st team given that is the stacked position now. Paul, Bev and Tony Allen would be the 3 leading candidates IMO.
Beverley's defense this year has been awesome, always surprising me we great steals/blocks, always giving maximum effort.
But bev plays for houston so he should win! Joking but not really joking. I wear my homer glasses a lot
Posting another video of the same drivel isn't going to do anything. This guy doesn't know PnR schemes, removes context from the situation, nor takes in any consideration that good players are going to score, even on good defenders.
