We have a country with some of the greatest free thinking, intelligent, creative, and inspirational leaders in the world. The position of president is the top representative of our collective of citizens. We have been selling ourselves short in who we’ve elected over the years. I think we certainly hit rock bottom in 2016. I’d love for the best and the brightest we have to run in 2020. I always want the best and brightest. Sure.... Oprah should run if she wants it and wants to build a political platform that works for EVERY American. I think her best trait is her ability to listen and connect. As someone who works in the corporate world of talent development, I know that the core competencies that make a great leader, Oprah fits the bill. Why not. But I need to see her poltical platform and the other people she’s running against before I say I’m voting for her. But we are better off with people like Oprah in leadership positions.
I'd rather not. We saw what an inexperienced president gets us in Trump and it has thus far been a colossal failure. Even though Oprah will undoubtedly be better than Trump, heck millions of Americans would be better than Trump, I think as a country we can should strive for better.
Are you blind or do you live under a rock? Trump has been a total success. okay he might not have been a total success, we still don't have the wall and Obama care repeal failed but he's far from being a " colossal failure"
I agree. If the MSM didn't hate him so much and he didn't tweet every thought I think he would in a decent position for re-election. Most of us really don't care for a wall but health care reform should be THE priority.
No Oprah. No Trump. No Clinton's. No Bush's. There are hundreds of millions of people in this country. Do better. There does not necessarily need to be a scientist as president... obviously. There does need to be more scientists in congress though and government as a whole though. There is exactly one member currently with a science degree. The IQ level in politics needs to be raised. Having someone like Trump is damn travesty on a intelligence level. At this point reading his tweets day after day in the news he has to be doing some of it on purpose. If not he actually may be going senile.

If she runs, she will instantly be despised by 30% of the country. People will comb through her past and search for anything to portray her in the worst possible light, and half the country will just accept it and call her a horrible person. Is she prepared for that nonsense?
On a side note Oprah has made me $$$$ the last week or so on weight watchers stock. Along with DJ Khaled, both promoting the company. Close to 20% or so.
