Wait until the ball stop going in the hoop at ease to see if WB stick to the game plan or go rogue. With that said, PG is an awesome 2-way player that can play off the ball. When his offensive game is off, he will still have a major impact. He will be the big difference. Melo, not so much.
If they do finish 4th I imagine that 4th/5th matchup will be hell and not some gimme series. My guess is it will be between Minny/LAC/OKC If it's OKC vs Minny I'm not really sure whoI'd pick. Minny, by that time at least, will be a pretty good defensive team with Thibs at the helm and Butler and Wiggins can, in theory, match up with any two wings any team has, including OKC. My point is, if they finish 4th...any team that is in that 4/5 spot, good luck getting out of the first round. Everyone seems to have forgot about the Wolves but I think they will match up with OKC well, especially if all OKC will do is take turns letting guys shoot.
Nah, the Spurs still exist and are still... well, the Spurs. GSW #1 easy Fact is, one of these teams... Rockets/Spurs/OKC will be 4th. I'm not betting against the Spurs, they will be top 3, it's just a matter if Houston will be in there or OKC. I'm going for the good guys here. We actually will play defense and our offense is 2nd only to the Warriors.
Honestly, after one game looks like the Pacers won the trade. Oladipo and Sabonis killed it ... combineing for 40 pts.on 80% shooting or sumpin crazy like that. WB obviously held them back. Who's going to argue with me, in this small sample? Small samples rule this thread.
Why? Spurs, Rockets and OKC could all finish 2-4. We know GS will be 1. Don't see it far-fetched to think they can end up worse than 3.
Speaking seriously, we always knew oladipo had talent. He may very well be an all star considering how weak the talent is in the east.
Where was the big 3 last night?! Carmelo with a sick 3 tho... but better offense by Wiggins for the game winner.
I don't know about "better offense." There was some luck involved. Still, impressive. I do like to watch a team burst ESPN's......er, OKC's bubble.
The OKC guys can figure it out. It's not like the early returns (<20 minutes, though) of CP+Harden chemistry look great, either. But if this thing takes a while, I wonder if frustration will get to the these guys and start a ripple effect of poisonous chemistry lasting the whole season. Do they have enough of a personal friendship and trust to work through the early tough bits?
I watched most of the Minn OKC game 2nd half (can't bother to watch the Dodgers bat..) They looked not great. They still have time but this is the soft spot in their schedule and they're 2-3. Is Steven Adams still their 2nd best player? It seemed like it tonight.... Melo was kind of a souped up Michael Beasley. Useful if you have no better ideas....but... George did nothing important. This is not a peer team currently
I know I will get a lot of heat. But Pen15clubber is a better basketball poster than Ashleyem and would've significantly improved both our GARM and Hangout. Ashleyem right now looks clueless about actual basketball and only listens to bias ESPN reports. Vegas gambling odds are the only media you should trust. They have no dog in the fight. Yeah, but he's not having an MVP season right now.
