    VanFleet spitting the truth

@durvasa -- instead of letting "excessive negativity" towards Harden from other fans "sap your enjoyment," try taking solace in the amount of current players and coaches who speak like VanFleet...."I haven't met a basketball player that doesn't appreciate it." Popovich, too, says same thing.

Listen for those comments more than casual fans and media who are "tied into some fantasy of what they think the game is about."

Of course, you're free to not like Harden's style, but if we let others "sap our enjoyment" with their "perceptions," then we're letting others control our enjoyment and appreciation that NBA Players don't let happen to them -- per VanFleet. @DreamShook's obsession with reacting to media narratives could learn from this, too. :)

Yes, this is an intervention :D. Own your own enjoyment; don't listen to Whiners...anymore than you'd listen to Gossip in High School.

    Interesting quote from FV.

Because I have been hearing chubby Windhorst since around last years all star break continuously feed this info that when he talks to players the majority don’t respect Harden and his game.

Says it on the ESPN podcast and the jump just about every time Harden and his dominance is brought up.

Curry and Kerr, and retired basketball players who are trying to stay relevant and protect their legacies and "fantasies of what the game should always be."

Jay Williams is impressed by James scoring 55. He thinks that James and Russ are showing early signs of having trust issues.

I noticed James hesitate when Russ was wide open last night too. I think Cleveland wanted to give him that shot. I don't know if this a big deal but it may be something worth monitoring as the season progresses.

Evil Knievel always looking for the negative
It is a true statement but still . .. it is just stirring up some ****.

On that play Westbrook has to step in two to three steps and make a midrange shot
Then follow his shot in case he misses.

I think alot of teams will allow Westie that shot.

That one specific play it did look like Harden hesitated and frankly why wouldn’t he ... Russ can’t shoot especially from the 3 that’s been painfully obvious.

Keep in mind Harden was shooting the ball extremely well and it very well may have been the smart basketball play to not pass the ball.

It was the pragmatic approach. Harden was shooting well, and Westbrook isn't as great a shooter.

But more importantly, Jay Williams making up unnecessary drama here. Trust issues? That is not there, not in the way Williams tries to make it out.

I'm glad Nick Wright has taken over the first seat at FTF. He is one of the few that has a platform to give Harden his credit.

Nick is always fair. Broussard ruins the rest of it for me. I cringe every time he gets ready to talk about Harden or the Rockets.

I know that fans always believe their team is being screwed by the refs and the media..........

However, I cannot think of a player that is more roundly picked on and abused than James Harden.
