That defense is just ****ing terrible, plain and simple.

I think BOB has been doing an ok job so far this season playcalling wise and time management, but damn that defense is horrendous.

Nah. It's been a compounding problem.

Our defense has slowly gotten slower and older over the tenure of the BoB, coupled with sht trades (clowney), off season departures ( A.J. Bouye, Kareem Jackson) and inefficient draft picks (Kelvin Johnson, Lonnie Johnson Jr., Xavier Crawford, Treston Decoud, and Jermaine Kelly). BoB been to content relying on defense to carry his ass for so long during his period of shtty qbs. Now it's coming back to bite him

Actually now that i looked at it our weakest position seems to b CB, and I don't think we ever drafted a home grown pro bowler CB.

Offense in theory is suppose to b good on paper with a brand new oline, corps of wr/te and Watson, which soon alleviate our weakening defense. Problem with that theory is our Offensive Guru is inconsistent as fk. Can't discipline the team correctly so drives are killed by stupid penalties.

It is what it is. U will either see the Texans at the Chiefs or u will see the one @ Panthers + Colts.

Not sure how you guys expect the defense to be great when half the secondary is injured. Of course teams are going to pass on us.

We played terribly yesterday for sure, but its it's hard to win games when the offense is slightly off and can't compensate for the injuries on defense.

Football is the ultimate team game, and one key to the cog being out of joint grinds the whole machine to a stop a lot of times.

We got outcoached (the theme of O'Brien vs. Reich) and we shot ourselves in the foot with defensive penalties (how many first down did they have off of penalties? 7?). That, compounded with the offense's inability to concert red zone drives to touchdowns, and its a miracle that we were in it till the last two minutes.

I watched all of that game, but it was almost entirely unwatchable. The flags on seemingly every play make it difficult.

    Very awful game to watch.

Regardless, I think we beat them at home and still take the division on the way to our annual, inevitable, Billy O, playoff beatdown.

Not to mention the refs taking 7 points off the board. Hard to put this one on BoB, but Reich seems to have his team ready and executing on all facets when they play us. The crossing patterns against our LBs and DBs had us straight bamboozled yesterday.

And as bad as the defense has been, the offense has to get off to better starts. Through 7 games, we’ve scored only ONE first quarter TD, and been shut out in 4 of the games.

U basically listed the reasons y we should blame BoB. As an offense guru, we shouldnt b struggling so dam hard to score with the players we have on our roster

I still can’t get over that TD they took away from Watson.

Refs saying they were trying to protect him but he still gets drilled.

What pisses me off is okay u blew the play dead no TD that’s fine (no really terrible call)

But since it was dead and Watson still got drilled then throw the flag for roughing the passer and give us a first down on the 2 yard line?

    Am I missing something here?

If Watson gets smoked after the ref claims the play was dead then that’s a flag and automatic 1st down and half the distance to the goal.

Or it needs to be a TD which it should have been.

But yes our secondary is awful or run D is not bad. The pass rush is okay not great. But we got to be able to stop these teams on 3rd down it’s seems to happen every week.

Colts game was just off the charts poor pass protection.

We made brisset look like Andrew luck.

Watson I don’t think had a bad game besides that late pick of the back foot that was a bad throw. Even the great Aaron Rodgers who does that throw all the time has been picked off like that.

The last pick wasn’t his fault it was a tough catch but we needed 7 and Watson put it on a rope and game keke a chance to grab it he just fumbled in the air the the LB took it right from him. Great throw great attempt at the catch even better heads up play by the colts defender.
