Sadly, I don't see Watson throwing for any TDs.

Without setback he'll probably return for the Monday night game against Baltimore, I guess this is good news

It would be kind of cool if DeMarcus Ayers managed to earn a spot. Don't see it happening though.

2nd QB we have worked out... Trading Savage? I would trade savage and brown for some DB and pass rush help.. Or maybe even another Olineman if possible

i don't think you could get an 11th round pick for savage.

Maybe, there's a few teams he'd start for and if they had an O line to speak of, do well for. Given that it's looking like he has no future in Houston due to Watson's stellar rise they might as well get something for him if they can.

That said, trades in the NFL are fairly rare so I wouldn't hold my breath.

I don’t see why we would trade him. Knows the system, I’d say he’d be a bottom half of the league starter rank wise which = very very good backup. I understand getting something for him rather than letting him walk for nothing, but like Duane Brown I think he’s more valuable for us this season versus any potential compensation sans a 1st

Well we're not keeping him beyond this season so what's the point? Given that he's a pocket QB and the O line of the Texans can't provide a pocket, he's not even a good fit for the team.

Savage is a free agent next year. I really don't see the Texans resigning him here. I don't think you see him in a Texans uniform past this season. With that said, I don't think the players they are trying out gives any indication of a Savage trade. The QBs trying out are more 3rd string than they are backups.

Not to mention almost all our really difficult games are behind us. Just the Seahawks (bad offense tho), Rams (still hard to take them seriously) and the Jags (just gotta beat their D)
