    At least Marisnick is consistent.

Jake has regressed so bad. As soon as Springer gets back I would be sending him down to get his head right.

We always knew Gattis could break out given his track record. The same can’t be said for Jake. He’s beyond awful right now.

That 42/1 K/BB ratio has to be the worst ever in MLB for 40+ Ks, doesn't it?

Sounds like you don't like the guy.

Unless he's hiding an injury, I'd be surprised if he doesn't eventually get back to his career averages.... which means you keep playing him.

Unlike Gattis, Jake's career numbers are closer to where he is now than what last year's numbers peaked at.

Basically, last year looks more and more like the outlier with every game.

Isn’t he close to his career average as a full time DH?

Correa and Altuve are slumping hard. They both hit better on the road usually, no?

Not really. He was basically a full time DH in 2015, with numbers much better than what he is doing now. As it is, I expected that DH hitting vs C hitting discrepancy to eventually even out as well.

Not really, had an OPS of .734 that year as a DH, much better than now, but his numbers while catching dwarf that. There is no doubt his bat is better when he is involved in the game. The balance is how much can he do at DH vs what a guy like Stassi can do defensively in his old role

If he is going to be a DH full time that OPS needs to be north of .800

Here’s to hoping he can figure out how to do it

He had a .285 OBP and .736 OPS as a DH that season. While it's better than his results so far this season, it's hardly good, and that was his best year as a DH.

I was pretty much on the "position shouldn't make a difference train" but he now has over 1000 PA as a DH and over 900 as a catcher. Those are not small samples.

That was his only year as a pure DH before this one.

Maybe the torrid hot streak he's going to have to get him back to even those numbers will bode well for the rest of the season's results.

I’m known as Mr Optimistic by my Astros friends

But I’ve seen all I need to of Jake. Enough already. Tony Kemp, Miles Straw, hell bring up White and put him in LF if you have to, but enough already

Dallas "Weak Link" Keuchel is now sporting a 3.10 ERA.

Correa's last two HRs have come from first-pitch.

Rangers have surrendered 30 HRs last 15 games.
