I have to challenge you on this. What about Pete's platform lacks specificity?
Watch his long-form interviews and you'll see a person who attentively listens and answers questions with nuance, even when being challenged. It's a bit much for you to call the guy sneaky just because you have some ******* consulting friends.

Platform, probably nothing. All the Democratic candidates are pretty good at presenting written policy aspirations. The only candidate I know who doesn't is Trump. I'm thinking more about how Pete handles himself in live Q&A. He puts on a very concerned face and speaks in a very measured and considered way. But, I also see how he builds in flexibility when he's speaking so he can't get boxed in. Sorry I don't have hyperlinks to reciprocate.

I think I ginned up a bit of an emotional response the way I threw around the word sneaky. Maybe it's a reflection on my own personal character, but I don't think sneaky is ******* behavior. Maybe I should have said clever or glib. The point was, he doesn't campaign like Yang.

Hah, I had to push back on the Sneaky Pete characterization but I get your point. Pete is a bit more measured and careful in the way he communicates. I appreciate it because most hot-button issues don't have a simple Yes/No answer, but I can understand why some would prefer more black and white answers when so many of our politicians are not worthy of our trust.

He puts on a very concerned face?

And how do you know he is "putting" it on?

And why does he dinged for this when all politicians do it to some degree?

How do you know Yang is "putting" on a face?

    Lol, hadn't made that connection!

Lord, I cannot disentangle myself from Butteg Buddies! I told you it's not a ding, it's not a criticism. It's a politician doing a good job of being a politician. Pete is obviously made for this political world in a way that Yang could never hope to match. But somehow you hear that as a criticism of Pete and not Yang.

I watch too much TV, clearly

Ah we're just a bit defensive because Pete is a pretty benign guy, yet gets characterized as this conniving corporate shill / CIA lab creation by woke Twitter.

Dude is on The View. Meghan McCain is so irritating. She wanted to argue about abortion because he said he thinks life starts at breath

if he was 10-15 years older and not gay he would have already locked up the nomination.

And he would by a heavy favorite to win the general election, but he is not older and straight.
