I hope that happens for a different reason, it would signal that the team realizes that they need to win with offense and that they don't get a small lead then turtle the rest of the game till that lead goes away. If the Texans are to win even 1 playoff game, they need to win win offense because the defense is in bad shape due to injuries.

In this scenario are we the top seed? Do we have the tie breakers? Also, if chargers/chiefs lose but patriots win do we have the 2nd seed?

 

I believe we need a Pats loss and a Texans win for the 2 seed. KC loss does not alter our position.

 

If the Chiefs and Chargers both lose, we get the 2 seed assuming we take care of business at home against Jacksonville. If all those things happen AND the Patriots lose, we get the 1 seed.
