Would be nice to turn it around after a brutal last turn through the rotation (as far as losses goes). Keep the damn roof closed tonight
Dusty Baker on Roberto Osuna: "Right now, he's not in a good way, or else we wouldn't have put him on the 45-day DL. That's not very pleasant news for us or for him. It is what it is and we've got to deal with it." Dusty Baker said George Springer went to see a hand specialist today to confirm nothing is broken in wrist. "We’re going to try to do all we can, and he’s going to try to do all he can, not to go on the IL. We’re playing short a little bit," he said.
I really wished Altuve wouldve connected on that one to shut all these guys up. I feel like theyre throwing underhand jabs with some of these stats they mention
"On the ESPN broadcast, @Kurkjian_ESPN said Dusty Baker told their crew that Yordan Alvarez needs “20-30” more at-bats in Corpus Christi before coming back to the major league club."
Why that many? He's done great so far, he's mostly a DH so fielding shouldn't be much of an issue. I'd think 10-15 more, max.
But he had trash cans in his workouts. Astros have gotten rid of all those in the stadium. No help there.
Hitting is hard. Most hitters started the year slow because of a short "spring". Granted, I have no idea how ready Alvarez is.
