WW - Springer breaks out and we get an early season statement to the national media that our offense came to play this year.
I doubt they’d pitch him on 3 days rest this early in his post TJ process. I bet Christian Javier will get the start.
Damn, didn't realize it was that close since he last pitched. All the series this year are just gonna run together in a rushed mess. Javier vs may is a good matchup too. Young guns with the big edge to may.
We'll know a lot about the rookies in the pen after this series. Not expecting the Astros to do well based on the pitching match ups but will gladly eat crow later if the rookies come through.
This must end it total destruction...of the Dodgers. It's showtime! The Dead Dodger Society gets some new additions tonight.
Javier would be on 3 days rest as well. I think he is penciled in as the guy that will replace JV and is currently planned to pitch the most innings tomorrow. That said, if Valdez craps the bed, but the offense still scores more runs, Javier may be used tonight to save a win before entering the rotation next week.
Regardless, would be a bullpen game... Javier likely isn’t stretched out yet, but should be able to go on 3 days rest given the relatively short stint he had on Saturday. If they really want to get Osuna back in game shape, use him as an opener... or over multiple innings. As it is, I always thought his 3+ pitches would actually translate well to starting.
We're not that desperate are we? Rather roll with the kids. Let the kids play! Rodney is expected to report to the Astros alternative training site in Corpus Christi. The team must clear a spot on its 40-man roster before he can join the Major League club.
Here's to Valdez giving us at least 4 good innings. Frankly I 'd rather see our JuanValdez pitching than Framber of 2019. Maybe he can return to 2018 form... until then he gets poor Dicaprio raising the glass.
