Injuries can stop them. And these guys expose themselves more to big hits. Not much has changed since Vick came into the league and was supposed to "revolutionize" the position... in the end, these guys take huge hits, possibly get hurt, and definitely regress in their "aggressiveness" as they get older.

Vick can throw. He just can't protect the ball. These aren't run first QB's.... they're sack eluding QB's. That being said, they still are exposed to more hits if they chose to run, and that's why there will always be a role for more of a pocket passer who relies on protection and doesn't expose himself to the big hits.
