We got the lead, but at the same time, Reddick and White really could have made Chavez work some more. Not complaining, just my wish.
Check on the availability of Stephen Vogt (SF), Alex Avila (AZ), or even Murphy from Seattle if they're willing to trade him to us. If Lucroy wasn't hurt he'd be on the list too.
Maybe it's just me, but I feel like Cole-Chirinos just aren't a good battery. His best games this year have been caught by Stubbs/Stassi IIRC.
I really don't understand White. Like, he doesn't seem to care if he stays or goes. He's had this very extended period of time with a short-staffed infield to show off and try to make a case for being on the roster. The sort of window any borderline player would salivate over. He could lose weight during that time, work on his swing, just give himself a chance to stay. He's had months. You almost wonder if he just doesn't care because he knows there's no place for him as soon as Correa and Diaz are healthy again, regardless of how he plays.
White was fat in college. He actually slimmed down some while with the Astros. Now he's back to extra porker status. I'm guessing it's stress eating. He knows his MLB career is about to be over.
