He had a pretty nagging back issue that caused him to miss games at the end of the season. I don't think he ever fully was 100% in the post-season. He played all-out/hard pretty much every game, and not sure he can dial it down at any point.

Certainly wouldn't jump to the conclusion that he's depressed or an IV drug user... but such is clutchfans...

Oh I think it's pretty obvious he's a junkie. That pic is incontrovertible, and there's no other explanation for it.

Let's pray its not drugs or cancer, but he just went on Arian Foster's no meat diet in the off-season.

    Wait....LOL

So we are seriously accusing Reddick of being a methhead or heroine addict based on one picture in a baggy shirt, that doesn't even really show his arms.

    OK clutchfans, you do you.

Marwin is spared. McCann is not.

After Freeman I'd put Rhys Hopkins in there before any of the others, especially Thames. Dude is just not that good. He had a great 3 months and then fell flat and rode the bench a lot.

In 170 at bats at the end of last year after his call up, Rhys hit .259 (Slumped the last few weeks as he was above .300 for the most part.) He also had 37 runs, 2 steals, 18 HR's, 48 RBI's a .396 OBP and a freaking 1,014 OPS. Pretty nice numbers for a 24 year old rookie in his first full time big league action.

6 is still more mound visits than I would allow, but it's a start.

McCann had 12 visits in Game 5 by himself. Let's say Strom and others made 4 visits and all butterflies have been killed. McCann would have lost 10 visits to the mound and the game would have ended around 12:34 instead of 12:38.

I don’t like it. Visits are part of the game. There is strategy in almost every visit. I’m not worried about pace. This is not basketball or football. Just my .02.

That said, I don’t want the pitcher just standing up there staring at the batter for 25 seconds every pitch. So maybe i do care a little.

Mound visits have gone up because technology has made it easier to cheat. It is quite obvious that the Astros thought the Dodgers were cheating in the World Series. At some point, MLB will need to allow catchers and pitchers to communicate using technology if they lower the mound visits.

So what are your thoughts on mound visits? Less? Unlimited?

I just feel like they are too important to cut back that much.

I'd give the catcher and pitcher a device that can transmit pitch type and location or at very least a way for them to toggle between codes to eliminate mound visits due to the catcher suspects other team has a high res camera in CF.

Mic in glove. Wireless ear-piece for both pitcher and catcher.

Basically, have the mound visit without having to walk back and forth from the mound.
