Its funny to check the demographics/post history of the posters that actually took offense to this post...

I suppose there's Spurs fans who still complain about their front office/Poppovich... so there will always be ridiculous dissenting opinions, even if this team finally wins a WS.

LOL at getting bent out of shape by a stupid meme. I'm sorry if anybody took offense to the picture. I'm not advocating that everybody in here should hold hands and sing "Kumbayah", but at the same time, there are some pretty nitpicky things getting b****ed about in this thread. Do the Astros have flaws?? Absolutely. Is the manager one of them? Absolutely not. Nor is the lead-off hitter. Nor is the home record.

Sometimes I think we just need a sarcasm emoji bc it doesn't translate well through text. That being said some of us on here are tired of the grandpa's on the porch b****ing about damn kids skateboarding on his sidewalk.

That... and apparently you are a grandpa on a porch if you find fault with endless unfounded b****ing (which is odd because I usually see old people complain endlessly moreso than young people).

You can address me directly. You weren't shy about it earlier. What I am seeing is a lot "grandpa's on the porch" complaining about other people for simply commenting, raising concerns, or offering suggestions (in wins and losses) about particular things.

Come off it people. It just seems like the Astros forum in particular houses a clique of know-it-alls and if you aren't a yes-man to the agenda you get flamed for it.

    Sorry bruh, that's not me.

You seem awfully paranoid, bruh.... something typically only grandpas, or those suffering form advanced dementia, tend to get like.

If you want this place to be more GARM like... not sure what to say about that.

I haven't found their to be cliques on this MB like a certain football teams MB. People here are some of the most knowledgeable baseball fans I've ever come across. In fact I've learn alot about baseball and I've been watching the game since 1968.

I also want to add most of the posters in this forum have been thru the tough times together, we may have disagreements but we've been thru this together and are now reaping the rewards. I wouldn't call that a clique. I would call that fans being fans.

I find it quite funny that some posters on here like to pile on each others sentiments, like some kind of circle jerk, when a poster simply does not agree with a verdict. Pointing out something or having a different opinion about something doesnt simply mean one is complaining about anything. This team is an oiled machine but still requires tinkering to be a well oiled machine. The passive aggressive nature shtick of some is really quite annoying at times. Just as much so as the people complaining or some think that they are.

count_dough_ku is one of the well-respected posters in the entirety of the bbs(mainly in the garm) and gets bashed for making a statement that may have been a gaff, yet he gets jumped on. The .590 mark is good in all of baseball but it is quite the contrast to our winning ways on the road. People have to simply admit that. The road record probably is the outlier but it seems like this team should perform better at home given the domination and winning ways all year. I respect a lot of the main posters on here but to bash a more recent poster in this forum for it, is pretty damning in my opinion. You can simply ignore it. Its easy.

Idiots argue the stupidity. The wise avoid the stupidity. congagrejo was a prime example to show who were the wise; knowledgeable definitely, but wise, surely not.

I think it's the way the complaining is stated by the complainer. There is a big difference between "wish Hinch had let Marisnick hit instead of PH Aoki" and "why take out Jake???? He hits bombs....stupid Hinch!" that rubs other posters the wrong way, when in fact, Hinch is pretty far from stupid. Sure he makes mistakes, but he's not stupid.

Furthermore, if another poster brings stats on why PH Aoki is actually a good move, then the poster with the facts is insulted and called names for being a "homer" or "Hinch lover".

And God forbid anyone says "it's a long season...there is time to fix ____". That's a big no-no with some people.

Differing views are fine. But a lot of people forgot what civility is (or never knew it in the first place).

The Astros are off to the best start in franchise history... have the best record in baseball... trade season is around the corner and the Astros are likely to make a big trade...... yet the discussion is whether bobrek is idiot or not?

When I was four years old I watched my mother kill a spider with a tea cosy. Years later I realized it was not a spider... It was my Uncle Harold.

Why is the angels playing the dodgers? I thought everyone in the division played the same division in interleague. 20 years later and I'm still confused.
oh yeah, rangers, mariners and the angels all sitting there at .500. If they didn't play houston they'd probably be games over .500.
