    I mean come on man.. can’t they use the picture from his championship years? They even put the Raptors logo.. now kids who didn’t watch the 90’s NBA will associate Hakeem with Raptors rather than Rockets.. :mad::(

    I don't blame Hakeem or Ewing.. it was the coming of age of big pay days at the tail end of their careers and they wanted a piece of the pie.. Why would Hakeem retire and leave all that money on the table? I remember he raved about Vancouver once and said he wouldn't mind living there or perhaps playing there then he went to Toronto.

    If I recall he was a decently promoted signing by Toronto... which, sure, in some ways is like getting MJ to join your team... but 39 year old MJ that also didn't retired for 4.5 years so was basically done.

    Hakeem dropped meaningfully once he turned 37.
