Aaron the Great strikes again, but stupid playcalling is why the Bears lost. What a blown opportunity.
reminded me of the texans. when they give the ball back to likes of brady, wilson to win. Instead of being aggressive and calling a great play to get a 1st down to essentially end the game, when you only need a yard
Matt Nagy obviously ignored the Aaron Rodgers for dummies book I figure it's 1. Contain contain contain. Can't let him out of the pocket when play breaks down. 2. Don't ever, ever, ever leave him enough time to do anything. One second is a second more than you should leave him. Nagy should have run J Howard on 3rd down and let the clock run....seeing as the Packers had no timeouts left. Just crazy. And of course once Rodgers (or Brady) gifts you a pick and you drop it then you might as well just give them the 6 points because they're throwing a touchdown next up (or just finishing the drive with a touchdown). Can't give them another opportunity when they gift you an INT. Kyle Fuller must be feeling sick in the locker room tonight.
To have that much poise in the pocket with one leg, with as much zip and accuracy as you would on two legs, is ridiculous. Rodgers is not human.
I wish Rodgers played for a better team. He’s so damn good. Then again it’s his fault too for taking 1/4th the cap.
Wow. The Packers-Bears in one of biggest flips I can recall in any sport. Getting blown out, best player looks injuried for the season.... then, comeback win with "injured" player spear-heading it. Couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the score and Rogers in highlights.
Ya almost identical situations. But interesting that we blasted BoB for running the ball in that situation and Nagy is getting blasted for passing the ball. Just crazy how the greats get it done. Fun game last night.
Rodgers is at fault?? You're telling me you wouldn't try to get as much money as you can, on any given contract? This isn't the NBA where extremely mediocre players get paid a ridiculous amount of money. This also isn't the NBA, where contact is minimal (compared to the NFL). Also, ACLs, concussions, collarbones, various injuries to every part of the body...can't chase a ring if a hit on any given day, ends your career. There's no reason to take less money, in the NFL, so that your team can try to sign someone to help you win.
It's not that Rodgers or any other player is doing anything bad - they all should try to capitalize on their value. But that doesn't change the reality that paying Rodgers that much prevents them from improving other areas of the team. That's part of the beauty of the NFL - you can't be good everywhere. If you have an amazing QB, you'll be forced to have other weaknesses.
Watson is still kind of rookie, he's barely been in the league a year As far as A-Rod, he channeled his inner "Brett Favre" and won the game.
Unless you are the Patriots, but Tom never goes for the highest contract (and they still usually have holes, but mask them better than anyone in the league).
