I thought they weren't going to show the anthem anymore?

That rendition of the national anthem was appalling.

At least it had an exciting end even if it was ultimately anticlimactic.

It was mostly ugly, but that was a good start to the season for the NFL.

Nah it was decent. Fergie was appalling.

I'm just not excited for football season anymore. I really can't stand how the game is called, nor the rule-book/instant reply bs, the constant commercials.

The game, in my opinion, is lagging far behind basketball and even baseball for watchability. Watching an inning of baseball is far more exciting than watching a drive in football.

Anybody with me? Also, since I don't play fantasy football, there is absolutely no excitement factor. I'm just glad that I get to watch mlb playoffs and then basketball begins. Hell I like hockey more than football.

Football is just boring to me. And then the play by play guys break down the plays so coldly an analytically, and then we have another commercial.

I can see where you are coming from and it's a common argument. NFL games have alot stoppage...commercials, timeouts, penalties, and poor officiating. But, ironically enough they have been fighting tbis problem, since the late 70s. Empty stadiums, low scoring games, and not much parity.

I want to impel my ears with an ice-pick every time I listen to Chris Collingsworth. I don't know what it is, but I hate everything about football right now. I'm not sure I would even care if the titans made a run.

The script was so easy to see but the Bengals clinch with a scoop and score. Tough break for the Colts.

TB upset NO in the Superdome.
Buffalo looks like they'll be competing for the #1 draft pick.
Barkley looked good today, but the Giants are questionable.
Minnesota ...they looked good today with Cousins.

Ties are for soccer. They are going to be more common with a shorter OT and opening series FG rule. Adopt a version of CFB overtime rules.

Why does Buffalo keep pretending Nathan Peterman is an NFL QB?

I guess Bell would have made Roethlisberger stop turning the ball over.

Wow was Gacrapalo bad for SF. Yikes. Or you could blame a lot of it on his line, but still.
