Jay Cutler & wait for it ... Brock Osweiler! Adam Schefter: I know everyone will wonder right away about Colin Kaepernick. The first QB I think they'd look at is Jay Cutler, who has accepted a job with FOX. Adam Gase has worked with Jay Cutler in Chicago. He likes Jay Cutler as a QB. Cutler likes Gase as an offensive mind. There could be a match there if they approach Jay Cutler & sway him to leave that broadcasting job to come to South Florida. That is the most logical candidate in my mind. I think they could end up calling the Cleveland Browns about Brock Osweiler. He's played for Adam Gase. Gase knows how Osweiler plays. But I'm told the Browns have fallen for Osweiler. He's made quite a mark on him & they're not willing to give him up at this point in time. They want to keep him around Cleveland. This is still early in the process. Those are the first two options you think about & Cutler might be the one the Dolphins wind up exploring first.
I think Matt Moore is one of the more capable backups in the league who has been there quite a while too. Depends on the injury outlook.
Probably not, the same standard that in the NFL you can suck or you can be a distraction, but you can't be both still applies. Most likely they'd pick someone who sucks that isn't a distraction over him.
I'll just put you down in the category of those who don't understand what it means for a player to be a distraction. Carry on.
And our country is full of them. As evidenced by the thinnest-skinned muther****er out there who won the presidency.
Even as a Cowboys fan, I've felt this way from the start, if the NFL found evidence that he really did beat her then he should burn heavily for it. I have no way of knowing what the NFL found, but if the evidence really does point to violence then 6 games isn't enough. If they are doing it because he "might" have hit her then that is completely stupid.
The public calmness of the Cowboys about the matter completely threw off my expectations. I wonder if this is truly a major shock to them or if they had a clue what was coming.
Horrible trade. 2013 drafted Manuel, 2014 drafted Watkins, 2015 no pick. But I do like what they have done since the trade. Shaq Lawson should be healthy this year. Traded down in this draft to get a good corner and picked up an additional 1st next year. Picked up an additional 2nd and 3rd today. Traded for Matthews who may be a better fit for them. And best of all hired Sean McDermott who was one of the best coordinators.
The NFL still has no idea how to handle these issues. Hardy gets suspended 10 games reduced to 4. Rice goes from 2 games (which was ridiculous) to indefinite back to reinstated. So maybe they're trying to find that sweet spot. But whatever evidence they have or don't have will eventually leak and more drama will ensue.
