Silver said we should appreciate excellence (nevermind competition).

Isn't the cap 51% of revenue? So the loss in revenue would be double that - around $120 million?

Why you would still have a salary cap?

    "Harden $35M
    Capela $50M
Paul $16M which he not accept. He go to LA or Cleveland or anywhere else.
$101M on 3 players. Rocks cannot sign any player this free agency. Rocks also not a threat for LerBon. blahblahblahsomethingabouttheworriersblahblahblah"

Maybe we'll be able to sign Capela to a cheap deal now since all the other teams won't have cap space. I doubt Capela would like to go to a tanking team after tasting the playoffs the last couple years.

Is this next jump going to be the incoming gambling money?

Because I have an extremely hard time seeing the forecast rising because they believe the playoffs will be competitive beyond one or two series?

Nice. This will help out our tax situation. Also value wise, Clint's contract will stay around 15% of the cap which is good news.

You may be surprised, but 13 year old casuals make up the vast majority of NBA viewership, last year's joke of a finals were near the top in viewership since the Jordan era. Imagine how high those ratings get replacing Cleveland with Boston, and maybe even GS with LA ;)

Just a reminder that the lowest rated finals of all time, 06-07, went 7 games, with many of them close. Its all about markability and hype.
