Lakers' A team barely beat Nuggets' B team.

Denver just went for 2 when they needed 3. It was a tank job.

Rockets twitter tells me Rockets should tank the rest of the games to stay in the 4/5 and not move up to 3.

I dont think so. Rockets twitter is telling me Rockets wanted a Denver win. Denver sat all their starters.

I only caught last 6 minutes. Why didn't any of Denver's starters play?

Apparently Rockets do not want the 3 seed.

Thats what Rockets twitter is saying. Rockets twitter wants to stay in the Lakers bracket. Lakers are vulnerable, but the NBA is not going to let them lose before the conference finals. IMO.

Clippers are tough, but I think the NBA will call more of a fair game against the clippers in the 2nd round than if Rockets played the Lakers

Clips aren’t an ideal matchup for the rockets. That’s a wcf matchup. The lakers as early as possble is when the rockets want to face them when they’re most vulnerable. They don’t look good at all. Especially not at the level they were prior to the pause

Man, I understand this reasoning if you think the NBA is a league that plays a fair game. The NBA is going to fight like hell to get Lebron and the Lakers into the conference finals.

Sure hasn’t looked like it to this point. As bad as they’re playing the refs still haven’t been able to help them

Lakers clinched 1st seed last week; there is no point for the refs and teh NBA to cheat when there is nothing on the line. The whistles are going to go the Lakers way in the playoffs.

Whistles won’t matter if your offense is trash and defense is a mess

I couldn’t careless if they clinched. This switch that apparently is going to turn on is down to 1 game. If they play Portland in the 1st round, that will be their worst case scenario playing a fully healthy Portland team that’s clicking going into the playoffs. They also won’t know who they will play until Saturday at the earliest, assuming Portland wins the 1st game. If not it’ll be Sunday

Here is an interesting twist. Memphis last two games are against the Celtics and the Bucks. They lose those two and Phoenix and Portland win their next two, then Memphis moves down to 10th. That leaves Suns verses the Blazers for the 8th spot...that is a game I would love to watch.

In that scenario, who is the 8th seed, and who is the 9th seed? 8th seed will have a huge advantage because they only have to win 1 game.

Portland would be ahead as the 8th seed bc they have one more win in the standings column
