I don't think you can equate it to boredom. The league has caught the warriors, and the warriors are thinner than a crack w**** on that team. They basically got 4 nba level players. The rest should probably be retired or in the dleague.
I don't know if it's that. It's just hard to repeat. I remember during the second championship the Rockets had, their team chemistry was atrocious compared to the first year. I believe it was essentially the same roster as the previous year, just their chemistry was off. It wasn't until the Drexler trade that the Rockets were resurgent. Winning can take its toll as much as losing. Can lead to entitlement and just expecting that showing up is enough. Another thing is it puts an X on your back. Every team, even the worst teams want to get a W against you. Other teams gameplan in the offseason how to beat you. They study more tape of you than other teams. If you're the team to beat, everyone is gunning for you.
It's a lot easier to fill out your team when you have David West playing for the vet minimum. They don't have that luxury right now. My one worry is that Zach Randolph goes to that team after the kings release him.
I agree that the Warriors have been fortuitous with the breaks they get. Other teams conveniently get injured at peak times when they're healthy. Reffing changes. I mean we were a CP3 injury away from trouncing them last year. I still feel like last year was our year. It doesn't help they get star players taking smaller salaries to remain a team. It's a rough gig for the rest of the NBA.
