If the NBA plays a single game before August it's an absolute miracle.

They might be able to get in a couple of 3v3 matches in if done in isolated condiitons with onsite testing.

 

They can start playing now with the suits on.

At best I'd say best of 3 first round, best of 5 semis but I still think the Finals and Conference Finals should be 7. If anything, Finals should be off the table in terms of shortening it.

Warriors as they are now, if healthy, likely would not win I agree with that. They'd be a team I wouldn't want to face though, especially considering the Rockets just can't beat them.

With that said, their luck is such that they are going to trade their likely top 5 pick for another key player. I don't think their window is closed :/

 

Every playoff team picks their best player and plays a game of h.o.r.s.e till there is a winner.

I think they should play 3-5 preseason type of games that don’t affect the standings and then do two different versions of playoffs.

One normal playoff bracket with the top 8 teams in each conference but the first round is a best of 3.

One bracket of the bottom 8 teams in a single elimination college style tournament to determine final regular season standings. This would help determine the draft order and see which teams really want to tank. Maybe make it interesting with a cash bonus to each player and an extra first round draft pick for the winning team.

Best of 3 would not serve the Rockets well, our odds are better when we get more opportunities given we rely on our 3pt shooting. 2 nights of being cold would mean elimination. Still I LOVE it! 3,5,7,7 or even 3,3,7,7 would be fine with me.

 

That's unfair to the contenders this year. Especially unfair to older teams like ours. I don't care if everyone puts an asterisk on it.

 

The NRL over in Australia managed to play Round Two of the season without fans before the season ultimately was suspended.

I found it much more enjoyable hearing how much talk actually goes on during the NRL games.

I commented a decade ago just how much CP3 talks during games (surprised me as you don't see/hear it on the television) as I was lucky enough to sit behind the broadcasters for that specific game.

I'd love to witness competitive NBA games with no crowd to be able to hear the players talking throughout.
