Signing Mutombo should be easier than Landry. He likes the Rockets very much
and he is willing to compromise based on what happened in the past.

Mutombo has to resign. He wants to take over Charles Jones' title as the oldest Rocket to win a championship.

We need someone younger than Mutombo and who has a glimpse of an offensive game. People forget that our front line is extremely short with our tallest player being 6'8 to 6'9 outside of Yao. Mutombo would fit the length aspect but not the age/offense. We should have kept Loren Wood. They should have given him a chance and signed him to the minimum. A 7'2 guy with a left hand on the cheap side. In my opinion it was a horrible move not to keep the guy.

Im sure we could find a guy to replace Woods who would also be better than him for cheap. No Im not talking Mutumbo. Actually I dont have any names to throw out there but Im sure there is someone. Maybe PJ Brown, Scot Pollard, Jamaal Magloire,Theo Ratliff, David Harrison. Just a few names out there.

lets get brad miller to backup yao. Since a lot of aldeman kings players played or will play for the aldeman rocket, I think he will be a good fit. Hes getting old so hopefully take a pay cut and I dont think hes working out with his team too well now. I would look for his asking price and decide, if its cheap then he will be a great backup.

name 5 better defensive or as a matter of fact 5 backups at the 5 who are capable of doing what Deke does, and ask yourself if we should sign him no matter how old he is. it`s a easy decision. he`s got a good year or 2 of 10 minutes a night left in him.

he`d probably be starting at the 4 instead of Scola, he`s got range on his shot and will space out for Yao, plus, he`s bigger and boards better than Scola. but it`s not gonna happen.

First of all Mutombo is not able to play 10 mins a night for 82 games, he will be held back to be available for the playoffs. If he signs he will only play for ONE season. We need to establish our back up center, not hang on for old times sake! There are several decent Centers available who can give Yao a Rest for 20 mins a game. and young enough that they can be with us for at least the next five championships. :p

Miller is over the hill. He can't create shots for himself, unlike Scola. He is probably not quick enough to guard the 4's. And he is way more expensive than Scola too.

Deke should just retire. Obviously he is the reason Yao gets injured every year. He has something to do with it,man I'm telling you. He wants more playing time so he drops a banana peel or something under Yao's legs so he gets hurt and that means more minutes for himself. Then the old b*stard doesn't even settle for the vets minimum. That conniving Fu#@ker.

BTW I don't want to Sex Mutombo.
