Was just buying some tickets for Suicide Squad and I notice I tend to get tickets on the end . . .. in case of bathroom or phone or snack runs. I cannot say sitting in the middle adds a major difference in the viewing of the movie for me . . . . The Cons of the end is that people who want to keep leaving and coming back during the movie (which does not happen often enough to warrent major irritation but it is irritating) I do like some distance from the screen but not the back row (Getting Old. . . the eyes not that great that far back ) Rocket River
Not sure why Aisle isn't a poll option. Free refill of popcorn and soda ftw. However, those large luxury box seating recliner theaters have so much leg room, I feel less guilty sitting dead center and rushing out for my rightful, free refill of popcorn, because no one has to move. But those are expensive theaters, so don't go to them as much.
As far away from other people as possible / aisle seat. I don't even go to the movies on weekends anymore, way too packed. I went to a kids movie on a friday night one time, worst decision ever, kids crying and coughing nonstop through the whole movie. Weekdays during work/school hours now only for me!
I pretty much go to Alamo Drafthouses only by now. There's plenty of space between seats, no talking or phones going off during the movie, and no kids unless it's matinee. I prefer dead center as I never get up during movies, but the wife likes aisle seats. The Alamo has a walkway for waiters/staff to serve, so I think it's easy enough to use the restroom sitting in the center, but I'm still forced to sit on the aisle.
1. Not in any theater where people will be constantly yelling at the screen 2. Not in any theater where people will be getting up to go get sh@t in the middle of the movie 3. Not in any theater where they allow cellphones 4. See above. So basically, Alamo in Austin, center mid.
Also . .. I no longer can do the Cattle Call theaters I am in love with Assigned Seating Rocket River
most of the time middle, towards the aisle because I'm almost guarantee to take a piss break with as much water I drink I've been going to AMC Fountains about 80% of the time since they upgraded to recliners and it's like 5 mins away from my work. At times, I don't mind sitting in the first 3 or so rows since I recline back and it's like almost watching IMax, almost... fwiw, I'm like 3+ years in with my MoviePass, definitely worth it for me
My local theater has a front seating area and a rear seating area. Between them is a wide aisle. There are a few scattered seats off of this wide aisle to accommodate people accompanying guests in wheelchairs. I like to sit in these seats (I will move if someone comes in and needs to sit here with their companion in a wheelchair). There is a ton of leg room, the nearest person in front of me is 10 feet away, I don't have to crawl over people or have them crawl over me if someone needs to leave the theater, and because this is not a full row, fewer people try to plop down next to me. I don't know what poll option this would by, but that is my seat of choice.
Is it me, or am I the only one that likes traditional seating? I now exclusively go to Cinemark XD Spring-Klein since the AMC in Spring got remodeled with those big ass recliners, and I don't like the angle. I feel like if someone reclines, I can see them and their bellies, shirts, etc.
We like the front. Lean your head back and relax and you can still see everything. (Recliners are the best; for theaters that don't have them, we try for the row near the front that only has a rail in front of it. Automatic footrest.) Another advantage of the front: any people talking, phones lighting up, etc. are behind you and it's easier to tune them out and concentrate on the movie.
