I wasn't that impressed with the trailer. After reading the conversation this thread has gone, I'll reserve judgment on this movie being more of a PC trend. It's the first female lead for the MCU, so what? Black Panther definitely was, though, can't deny that. I do feel some reservations about these B-list superheroes, though. GOTG was great, Ant-Man was okay. Dr. Strange and Black Panther were not very good movies.

This is the way trailers should be, not giving away a story but teasing at it.

They were all B-list, until they weren't. Nobody cared about Iron Man or Captain America until they made the movies. You had X-Men, Spider Man, Batman, Superman, maybe F4, maybe Spawn (RIP) - that was about it.

Remember, The Dark Knight trailers (2nd and 3rd movies of the trilogy; and yes, I know the difference between Marvel and the DC Universe) sometimes underwhelmed, too. Not that Captain Marvel can reach such heights. I, for one, am glad they're not giving too much away. And looks like the character will already have her powers and we won't have to endure an origins story (all that looks like likely flashback).

Even if it doesn't measure up to the hype (see also: Panther, Black), it'll be good, and a necessary lead-in to Avengers 4.

And....Brie Larson in a superhero outfit. Borrowing from Marvel Comics: 'Nuff said.

If Samuel L Jackson has two good eyes in this movie, then I expect two times the pissed-off, psycho glare that he is so good at. Make it happen, Marvel.

Overall, decent enough teaser. The sequence of her at different ages falling/being knocked down and then standing up came off a little bit too "GIRL POWAH!" to me, but I can see they are trying make a statement about her being the leading woman.

I was actually more excited about seeing Jude Law in this. I always felt like he had so much more potential than he ever realized in Hollywood but he just had a totally crap agent or was totally incapable of making the right career choices. He would have made a good Jarvis/Vision as well.

I don't think they're trying to say "girl power" as much as they're saying "Never give up" with that sequence.

Nah, Iron Man wasn't **** until the movie came out in 2018. Neither was Captain America. Unlike Batman, they were fringe characters to the mainstream world.

The Netflix shows are quite good. Especially Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Punisher (Honorable mention to Jessica Jones S1).

If it was Cap falling down over and over and getting back up you wouldn't have even blinked. This is your own bias talking.

Trailer reminds me of the Green Lantern trailers without the cheesy green sfx.

Too bad Marvel couldn’t make that one good or great.
