The call for the Astros' WS title to be vacated seems to be gaining some momentum. I'm wondering if the commissioner is going to start feeling so much pressure from the fans, players, media, and other owners that he might just decide to take it away to save the integrity of the league. What do y'all think?
Our limp-dicked owner wouldn't fight it, that's for sure. If you're going to do that, though, then you'd better start going through baseball history with a red pen and stripping other teams that had PED users on them of their titles. And I'm sure there are plenty more scandals throughout MLB history; gotta axe those teams' championships, too. You'd better do a thorough Stalin-quality scrubbing of all of that history to preserve the "integrity of the game" if you're going to make this unprecedented move.
Shut this thread down. The investigation is done. There is no additional punishment coming. We're not losing the championship. No more paranoia needed. Lots of fans across the nation are upset right now, specifically in hotbed areas that control the media narrative. Never forget that bad news is good news for the media. There's also a lot of not smart people pushing the emotional narrative. It's just a bad storm. If the league actually cared about cheating, they'd investigate every team. At the very least, each team with suspected ties to the technology abuse. Hint Hint NYY
