A week in canada with rental car.

Never been..which is better Toronto or Montreal? Why?

Where should I spend more time if had to choose one over the other? I understand it is a 5 hour drive in between but I am from tx that feels like a dallas- houston which isnt that bad.

Which has better atmosphere and nice areas to stroll around? Restaurant you like etc.
    Please help.

    Thank you clutch fans

ppl likes Toronto but LOVE Montreal for reasons beyond my basic understandings. If you spend a day in places nearby like

Niagara fall ,Ottawa and Québéc city ,you would have made every miles of driving worth it

Other attraction on you way : kingston historical sites/ 1000s island

I'd pick Montreal since it's definitely the more unique of the two.

Toronto is like Chicago (lake), Houston (diverse), and NYC (financial hub) all mixed into one.

Montreal most definitely. Great place to visit in the summer. Certain parts of it still have an old world charm.

Toronto is not a tourist city, there's nothing to do here. Go to Montreal

Toronto is like all about different neighborhoods, that you can walk around in, or sit at a patio this time of year. There's not really any touristy spots other than CN tower or Casa Loma (its a castle built by some rich guy in the 1900's i think).

Just got back from TDot recently. Went to Montreal some years ago.
You can probably tour Toronto in a couple of days and do a day or so at Niagara.

Montreal is awesome in the summer tho. It's very BEAUTIFUL and by IT I don't mean just the city if you get my drift.
    Montreal ladies bruh

The Aquarium is also pretty cool, right next to the CN tower too. Must hit up the Falls as well..

Montreal has better food, friendlier people, more to see, and is more unique. Plus, since you have a car you can also drive up to Quebec city for a day.
