LOL! I see this without fail...every preseason. They call it the preseason for a reason. This is the time period where the scrubs shine the most.
I too may have been deceived by what i saw in the preseason. I still have to believe that Morey and Mike D have to have had a plan for using this guy in an efficient manner. A play making wing who plays D seemed like the direction they were going with him. He just seems like he is shook. Scared to death to shoot from any where on the court. Unsure of himself when he attacks the basket. Now the fact that he cant shoot is more amplified. I was confused by his signing initially, liked what I saw in the preseason, now im back to being confused again. I think i see what they are trying to do with him, but for this to work he needs to grow a pair and stop playing like like a scared child. As a fan im still hoping that Mike can "fix" him. If not i really hope Morey has something else planned before the trade deadline to help improve the quality of our roster. Early on all of our new additions look shaky.
Maybe he deserves a couple more games, but he looks like he shouldn't even sniff the rotation. Too bad Knight is such a huge question mark.
I mean, they don't want to use him as a backup PG, but they have to with Paul and Knight down. Still, he's not fitting offensively, and his defense would have to be at LEAST all nba 3rd team to justify rotation minutes. I just hope the staff were aware this was most likely how it was gonna go.
Yeah, so far, no bueno. Those preseason games it looked like he could find a niche, but it was fools gold. If I remember correctly, it was Bzdelik that wanted MCW to try to see if he could make him a serviceable player. With him gone, no one is going to champion him. Might as well give Clark the burn. At least with MCW, he is on a NG contract. They can pivot from him quickly. He is a backup PG. And a wing defender. The Rockets need a 3rd PG. That's why the interest in Ty Jones via @Codman
To me, it looks like he overthinks everything. You can just see his brain whirring and spinning as he tries to figure out what to do at each moment. Just trust your instincts and get into a flow. Quit thinking.
