man struck by lightning in Spring, TX

Weird...glad the dude is ok. I was expecting to see a big bolt or flash...it looked like a big static build up thou.

 

For some reason, it reminded me of Back to the Future.

Probably exactly what it was (static discharge) a big bolt typically kills you instantly -- definitely would have got the dogs as well.

Lol. Yeah, I saw this yesterday and the video said they found the dogs nearby in a wooded area or something, but they were laughing because "man's best friends" took off running and didn't even stop to see if their owner was ok.

In the video I saw, they said his shoes were blown off, his socks were charred and also apparently blown off his feet, his clothes were charred, and the lightning left a hole in the ground.
