Not a fan of him. He was always price gouging even on 1st round playoff tickets. Also the season ticket holder benefits started getting crappier. This despite the stadium being half empty. I guess he made a lot of money, but I am a not fan.
Morey over the years has gotten me to drink the Le$ kool-aid. I love the Rockets but this news feels like a wet blanket. It will be hard to emotionally and financially invest in the team again till I know what the direction of the new ownership is.
Thanks Les for keeping the rockets relevant and bringing in Morey, chasing chips and making us an innovating basketball team (esp impressive without tanking).
So, let me get this straight: If he sells the team to a new owner you approve of, he himself was a good owner. If he sells the team to someone you disapprove of, it negates the past 24 years? Yeah....makes all the sense in the world. Again, I don't think he was perfect or the greatest owner in all of sports. But I feel he did a great job with the Rockets. If we listed all of his accomplishments and failures, I'm positive the good would outweigh the bad. And considering some of the knuckleheads that currently own teams, we should consider ourselves fortunate to have someone who was willing to spend, willing to incorporate past legends, and willing to embrace the future of basketball. He could be leaving the Rockets in much worse shape they are currently in (see: Knicks, NY). Whomever the new owner(s) end up being, they will inherit a franchise that is set up for success. (current uniforms nonwithstanding.)
I didn't see him smile or villaineously laugh many times.......maybe he isn't so happy, he has been annoyed with reporters and interviewers.
Thanks for making buttloads of money? Thanks for years of no playoffs? Yeah thanks for bailing out when it was convinient for you. Avoid multiple super mad contracts, luxury taxes when it's finally about to hit you, and call a press conference to start the bidding war right when this team is struggling to add Melo. Convinient time for you. Not so convinient time for the team.
I will never forget that infamous Le$ giggle. Le$ giggles as if he is the richest man in the room, and hiding a pocket genie under the table.
First I would like to thank Yao Ming. Without Yao, Les wouldn't have changed the pinstripe dildo uniforms he forced upon us for no reason to the color Red again. Thanks Les. Sell high.
