Good. McHale has no idea what leadership is.

Well we know how McHale's wife feels about Harden:

One thing was new: Players would facepalm in the lockerroom when Harden would start talking about defense. We assumed that was the case, but prior to now there was no evidence of it happening.

LOL @Progs is so desperate for my dick he has to resort to making someone half relevant

BTW where the hell is mchale? I bet he still sending checks to Harden

you got a point though.. Morey should have traded Harden for Tony Allen and kept Mchale. we should be a dynasty by now

I agree James seems really chill and passive and that Kobe leader mentality doesn't seem to be him which is fine. Dude still lead us to top 3 record

McHale is right. Harden is amazing, but he doesn't have the alpha personality CP does. That's not an indictment of the team. In fact, I think it's a big reason why management wanted him here, and why he came. He knew this role was open.

Don't hate on McHale here. Chris Paul fits this team because McHale's assessment is true.

Man what basketball do you watch? Mchale was a stud basketball player. Not a great coach, but held his own on the court.

McHale is 100% right but.....you should never go on national TV and let everyone know that players were shaking their heads when Harden spoke about playing defense. It's just wrong.

I'm just shocked people watch and follow NBAtv. He said this last week during live team previews on media day. This is old news, and true, lol, and just not an insult bc McHale is not into modern tit for tat social media BS...he's just giving his opinion as a former HOF player, former NBA coach (I think GM too), and current tv analyst. Tough love might be good for Harden, and CP3 doesn't back down from shouting at anyone.

I've said this before. Just because you are an amazing basketball player doesn't mean you should be the leader. Those are separate qualities, it just so happens that people tend to follow those who can back it up too.

Always expecting your star of the team to be the leader also is like expecting your star to be a great guitarist. Separate talents. The ones who have both have it made.
