knicks strike out on the #1 pick. they'll likely also strike out on the the elite tier FA's as usual and have to settle for the mediocre ones.

Still not understanding how this has come to pass.

I really thought KD can eventually be in Houston. Seems that was all a pipe-dream, and KD just wants to win + play in a big market.

He obviously wanted a free pass to the ring...good for him i guess, but i (like many others) will never respect him for those wins, he basically bought them.

    Agreed.

LBJ and KD on a pettiness spree -- who can out-petty each other?

LBJ started the era of players creating superteams. KD then one-upped him and joined one.

Maybe KD trying to bring that down a notch and do what Lebron did in Miami, bring some kind of hope to a dead franchise. But I think we all agree that his greatness will forever be hindered by his b****move.

I still think Durant's choice was softer, Lebron did team up with two stars but he went with another star (Bosh) to a team that had only one and was about to get build from the ground basically. Durant literally signed with a team that just kicked his ass and was coming of the best record ever.

Also, never forget his team was up 3-1 to the Warriors. 3-1.

So he knows what he was doing. He knew going there that he'd be guaranteed rings and people are calling him the best, top 5, all this, when he blew a 3-1 lead to the Warriors. Imagine if Harden blew a 3-1 lead to the Warriors. People seem to forget that Durant was a choker until he joined the Warriors.

Seismic change. The warriors win in 5 instead of 4

Exactly what I have been saying all along.

Durant has finally realized that no matter how great he is in Warriors, it will always be Curry's team.

The management, coaches and even players like Green have constantly reminded him of this.

He feels used right now, as he should.

The question is, what are you going to do about it Kevin?

Are you going to bolt to accept a new challenge to lead your own team to the promised land...

    OR

...are you going to be a coward once again and just accept the easy way out?

GS doesn’t need him. They never needed him. They won without him and they are doing it again now that he’s hurt. He’s a great insurance policy. He’s a nice luxury. And it helps them to not have to play against him. But they don’t NEED him.

He will never get the respect he wants unless he leads his own team to a championship. That’s just how it goes. Fair or not.

Look at Clyde Drexler. He doesn’t get the respect he deserves either. He is probably the most underrated champion ever. Had he won it in Portland he would get more fanfare. Instead he joined a champion that actually needed him and it still wasn’t the same as far as personal accolades go.

Why does KD feel used? He used them more so than anything, Green said at the first meeting they don’t need him and again they show they really don’t need him. He knew what he was getting into. He should leave, what’s the point...must be tough to realise though, no matter your opinion about KD.

Yeah, he's about to get his 3rd ring, and he already has 2 Finals MVPs. I honestly think he could've done that in Houston and those rings would be worth more, but all said and done, they're still rings.
