Pro football doc is reporting that it appears to be a season ending pectoral year for Watt

This is no time to panic.

We still have plenty of 3rd round picks we can trade to another team for one of their backups.

Thankfully we have a DE that can spearhead Romeo's defense and even make all pro status.

When his contract is up we shouldn’t resign him.

For those bringing up Clowney, go look up the Texans' pass rush numbers with No Watt and Clowney on the team. They are not good. Why? Because Clowney is not a good pass rusher. He is a great RUN stopper.

Curious if he'll just call it a career. Maybe not quite yet.

If I'm reading this right, looks like they can cut him in 2020 with no dead money & save $15.5M.
    Of course they'll give him a 5-year extension & he'll retire a Texan. (The non-Patriot Way)

I've posted an interview from willfork in 2016 praising how everything worked because of Clowney. That year Romeo called him one of the best he's coached. Clowney made Romeo's scheme work that year w/o watt. It's about disruption and providing opportunities for the others. Romeo's system never had players with high sacks.
