Millionaire NBA champion with a very lucrative demographic that will probably net him endorsements for the rest of his life.

It was a motivational speech. To pick out bits where he is expressing vulnerability and put him down for it just misses the point. He says in the very same speech that despite the feeling of being at rock bottom, he is not going to use that as an excuse to give up.

He had one of the best stories in NBA history and he's tarnishing that with all these "boo hoo" stories.
You went undrafted, got thrown into the spot light, became a national story, got a huge contract, got sponsorships, and even got a ring but now all we'll remember are these whiny stories of how the NBA gave up on him. Instead of being an inspiration for the underdog he became the embodiment for the entitled.

I think the greatest thing that was missed in Lin's career was that he could of completely changed the way Asian basketball players are looked/evaluated at but it's turned into a giant self pity party.

Jeremy Lin Turns Down CSKA In Hopes Of Finding NBA Deal

Jeremy Lin and CSKA Moscow have broken off negotiations on a contract.

Lin is not interested in signing in Europe at least for now.

Lin continues to seek an NBA contract after finishing the 18-19 season with the Toronto Raptors.

Emiliano Carchia speculates Lin could possibly sign in China if he doesn't receive an NBA offer.

If he's Harvard-smart, he would take a deal in China with Yao's team in Shanghai. That marketing and media bonanza would be very financially rewarding for both parties. Of course, him thinking he's still an NBA-caliber player questions the Harvard-smart part.

probably not but more so than this... Ron Harper was a much better player than Jeremy Lin ever was (other than the brief Linsanity period)

Lol like he cares about other people
He’s been switching teams and telling his core fans to pray for raptors to win the title or pray for
    him cause he gets benched.
It’s not an nba team won’t sign him.
It’s that he’s demand a premium he doesn’t deserve. He made $13 million last year . He’s going to find the minimum as an insult

This is where Lin went to high school in Palo Alto, CA.

    @Reeko @Os Trigonum

Life was super hard for Lin.

    Palo Alto High
    Harvard
    the NBA

Congrats to Lin on how he can convince his followers that his life was really hard

This must be rock bottom compared to getting Ebola in a village in the Congo

He constantly talked about how race is the reason he wasn't picked and all that during his top days too. It becomes a bit unbearable after a while, lots of players have great talent that doesn't get lots of minutes at the NBA level, and many many NBA level players have the potential to pull off a hot stretch.

The guy went on a hot streak because he wasn't in the opposing team's defensive scheme. Even then his suspect non-NBA guard ball handling and non-shooting really pushed him out of the league....

Overall he had a good career. He made millions, cemented his name in NBA forklore forever, and he won a championship. Like, literally no one will forget about Linsanity. He was truly the first "average" height East Asian basketball player to make it big in the NBA. I think people were unfairly tough on him while he played, but he got his ring while many of those throwing shade (Carmelo, etc.) don't have one.

Jeremy Lin definitely has a coaching future if he wants it. He'll probably get a few more shots to make a roster closer to the season though.

Lelz, there is no Yao's team, it is Yao's former team, he has sold or moved his shares.
