IMHO, Eddie Timanus (the blind guy) is the greatest Jeopardy contestant of all-time.

I don't pay a lot of attention to Jeopardy. Did either of those other two dudes come close to winning the amount of money Ken Jennings did?

I think Ken ran the longest and had the most overall money but James destroyed any of his single day winnings records. I didn’t check with google though.

I thought James passed Ken, but you're right. He was about $58k short, but did it in half the time Ken did.

I also somehow just learned John McCain was on the show before he went to Vietnam.

I don't get to watch it very often -- okay, almost never -- but when I used to see it, I kind of loved the bad contestants too.

They should have an all-time-worst contestants show.

Yeah, James is straight insane on the betting, he's not a typical jeopardy player, basically with his knowledge of gambling and strategy to back it up, he made a killing. The dude basically can't bet at some places in Vegas, so he's just wild to watch play.

I don't watch jeopardy a lot (much at all) but listened to some of his strategy and playing the board, I basically wonder why someone didn't think of it sooner (ie get max value playing/selecting harder questions and wagering big on daily doubles). Playing the order of questions doesn't do you any favors if you can't wager anything

Rutter is the all time money leader and is undefeated. He first played at a time when you could only win 5 days in a row. He has won a couple champion of champion tournaments with big money payouts and beat Jennings in one of the tournaments.

If it wasnt for his goof off Final Jeopardy wagers, he wouldve passed Ken up big time. Instead he would bet like $326 for a relatives birthday that was on March 26.
