Media got it right, though I couldn’t care less about the captain nonsense. So happy Draymond is not even close to a starter! The Pelican brothers got in, that’s cool too.

is CP3 not going to be an All-Star this year? no one seems to have mentioned him for the reserves.

Also, for the fanvotes, Manu Ginobilli had more votes than Harden wtf.

hahaha so great to see Draymond Green lose his spot to Cousins who had 200k less fan votes than him. At least the players knew what they were doing.

And Klay Thompson got 3 less player votes than old man Manu.

When you have an entire country as your fan base, you're going to get votes.

So happy the formula for voting has changed. The "voting for some random meme" should die already.

Well in that case, I hope with the newly implemented safeguard, NBA will stop discounting all the votes from China. China has more basketball fans than the entire population of Argentina, with the Rockets being the most popular there. If the votes from China don't get discounted, Harden would easily have many more votes than Manu, or Zaza who comes from a country whose population is 1/400 of China's.

    Congrats to Jimmy.

The "fan vote" in this new social media age where anyone can Tweet a vote is pretty much worthless. The NBA saw this coming and ended it before ZAZA got selected as a starter. They get their cake and eat it too with the 50% fan, 25% Player, 25% Media votes. Fans participate and it gives them a warm fuzzy but they can't dictate this merit award.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but...

...is anyone surprised that none of the TNT guys, when they were talking about reserves, had CP3 on their ballots? Has he just been out for too long, to warrant consideration?

If only Wade, Melo and CP3 had a snowball's chance in hell, of making the game.

    CP3 / Wade / Harden / LeBron / Melo

    True bearded banana boated greatness.

Let those accolades keep stacking !!

All-Star MVP would be nice, but be healthy, especially playoffs.

It’s a combination of him being out for so many games and the west being so stacked. Tough cause he is easily one of the best 24 players when healthy.

CP3 not going to make the team this year smh.

TNT, BSPN, FS1, none of them have CP3 in their West reserves but some of them had Dame.

Dame is avging 5 more points and 4 less assists. Also Dame plays less defense than Harden. I'd take CP3 over him 10/10 times for this year's all star.

it’s probably because CP3 has only played in 26 of our 43 games so far

Embiid played 32 of their 42 this season and is starting in the ASG and we're not even talking about CP3 starting, just coming off as a reserve.

Curry is also starting and he played 31/46 this season. It's ridiculous that the Warriors have 4 All-Stars playing this year while the team who is supposedly closest to beating them only has 1.

If people in the media are going out there to claim we have the best shot at beating the Warriors, then they'd better vote CP3 into the ASG or guarantee Harden an MVP, because I see both not happening right now.
