It's early, but anyone else skeptical about Harden + CP3?

so I was looking at the numbers against GS...

with Harden on the court we had an offensive rating of 117.6

with a hobbled CP3 on the court we had an offensive rating of 109.7

a 117.6 offensive rating is elite and would be far and away the best offense in NBA history if a team maintained that over an entire season...a 109.7 offensive rating is also elite and would have ranked 7th in the NBA last season if a team maintained that over an entire season...keep in mind that 109.7 offensive rating was with CP3 being hobbled

we want to have Harden or CP3 on the court at all times which means that the goal is to remain elite offensively for the entire game...last year our offense went from elite to average when Harden was off the court

Golden State’s offense takes a nosedive when Curry is off the floor...last year it went from an offensive rating of 118.1 when Curry was on the court to just 102.4 when he was off the court...that 102.4 offensive rating would’ve been 26th in the NBA if a team maintained that for an entire season...no other player had that drastic of an effect on their offense when they were off the court...Golden State’s offense was still elite when KD, Dray, or Klay were off the floor last season

this is the only way I think we can beat GS short of adding another star or them suffering from injuries...u hang with them offensively while Curry is on the floor thanks to Harden, CP3, and shooting a bunch of threes, but while Curry is on the bench and their offense craters your offense still remains elite because Harden or CP3 is still on the floor

Yep, Curry is the key, not Durant.

Just keep attacking him defensively like we were doing. Run a pnr with his man

tire him out and try to get him in foul trouble in order to force Kerr to keep him off the floor for as long as possible

in the game we won against them last year, Curry got in foul trouble and eventually fouled out

he is the key to their offense, and Draymond is the key to their defense...they are their 2 most important players

It's definitely not the perfect pair but neither was Lebron and Wade and they won 2 championships. In the end talent tends to trump other factors; i don't see any exception with our duo.
