Getting to multiple WCF their careers is something maybe a handful of NBA GMs can say right now .

The Texans haven't sniffed a AFC championship game in their existence.

But he/she just said championships, not conference championship games.

Rockets hang their runner-up-to-the-Warriors banner like the Texans do AFC-S champ banners, as if either means a damn thing. :D

This has absolutely nothing to do with Morey.

Atleast the Morey lead teams made their conference finals.

How many AFCCG's did RS lead teams make?

It does because since you made winning championships your bar, Morey missed it. Look, I'm a Rockets fans; I'm not here to bash them; but you make it sound like they are in the conference finals every year. They've made it there two times in the past twenty years. When Rick Smith left the team, Morey had only one conference championship game in his time as GM. So are we saying that if the Texans got past Jacoby's fumbles and beat the Ravens in 2011, both GMs will be even? I hope not.

If you want to split hairs be my guest.

The Rockets have accomplished much more under Morey than the Texans did under RS.

If you want to play the ifs and buts game, if Paul wouldn't have gotten hurt the Rockets would have another championship.

    You totally missed the point.

Rockets have been better but havent accomplished MUCH more. Going one more level in the playoffs but still falling short isnt MUCH more accomplished. If you are saying Rick Smith was one more playoff win away from Morey's level then the gap isnt that big. You can bring up the Warriors and I can bring up Brady. If you want to make your case for Morey > Rick Smith, there are other points you can make. A lot more. But let's be honest both have fallen short of the ultimate goal.

I don't want to Google this- have the Texans thrice had the top pick in the draft? (Carr, Williams and Clowney?)

I have nothing of substance to say about Gaine. He hasn’t been very active in free agency, which I suppose is a good thing, and he hasn’t had much of a chance to show us his approach to the draft. Ask me again next year.

Gaine -is still in the pending category
Morey - is running on fumes after strapping the rockets to a declining injury prone PG
Luhnow - should be getting the praise morey does and more

As it stands the Texans outlook is better than the rockets Texans don’t have much money tied up and Deshaun is 23/24
Where as harden is approaching 30 and cp3 is pretty much done at 34 unless harden has one of those Hakeem/dirk yrs in the playoffs it will be pretty much a waste

Kinda misleading that he included all of the max incentives for Kalil and none of the incentives for McCoy. Yes I wanted McCoy tho.

Still...that was a ridiculous contract for Kalil. It felt like a Donald Penn contract

Penn wasn't coming here what is essentially a 1 year 5.5M guaranteed deal.

Yeah, but that number goes up if he just makes the opening day roster. According to sources, only reason Penn didn't sign was because they wouldn't assign the opening day starting job to him. Something they had no problem doing for Seantrel Henderson at RT.

    Then there's this guy:
