I've only watched a bit of his play from the last game and didn't see any of the previous game.

What I did see was a player who made good passes, finished around the basket, and was usually in the right place to make a play. What are your impressions after two games? How is his defense?

To that I'd add that he was a force on the offensive boards and he has handles/ability to iso ball.

I loved that when the game was nose-diving and even on the play where royce's tech made Honeycutts three point make get waived off, he was trying to rally the team. I like that he joins the team and has the confidence to assert himself in such a positive way.

About his defense, I remember two plays. 1. he got a nice rejection on a player coming at him for a layup 2. He had a good instinctive stepping into the passing lane when royce and goude doubled Hilton Armstrong and got a steal out of it. I heard he was a defensive player before the game... didnt really come off that way.

    Literally my first impression

He looks like the love child of Royce White and Tayshaun Prince :p

Seriously, watching his highlights.. Looks like a typical promising player Morey always seems to get tossed in (Aldrich and Lazarr Hayward not withstanding)

Love his confidence and really think he can develop into a serviceable player in a year or two

Too bad...I think I just jinxed him. He got cut for AB. Maybe he sticks around RGV and gets another shot next year.

The only way he can find a spot on the Rockets rotation is to become a good 3-point threat. So far his shot is below average. Doesn't matter how good he is on D or layups around the rim .... he needs to have a reliable outside shot to get Morey's attention.
