Still surprises me that people think that Morey is static in his opinions and beliefs concerning basketball. He is dramatic, his views and opinions are already different than 4-5 years ago. He relies on analytics because it avoids static opinions. The whole idea is to discover changes in the game, and exploit them.
Never suggested that their shot distribution was bad, just that we have to have one or two guys that can step up and hit a midrange shot (and be willing to take a midrange shot) when everything else is being defended well.
Not why we lost I believe but why the **** did harden take a long contested 3 , up 2, with 30 seconds to go. When all we do is jack 3s it’s hard to get some other offense going. Long rebounds help the other team run on the fast break. We don’t need a 3 and it’s absolutely r****ded to take a long contested one in that situation.
If we had continued to clang 3's, it would have been useful to mix it up. No one is saying to replace the 3 ball with mid-range shots.
