Has anybody else thought that the genius of Romeo may depend on whether peak JJ is on the field?

The Texans never had great cornerbacks. I will go one step further. The Texans draft record wrt cornerbacks is dismal.

    I'm just saying.

So what is Romeo's excuse for getting dominated by the Colts last week?

"Elite QB" Andrew Luck couldn't get a 1st down until the end of the 2nd quarter. Scored 0 points against the worst defense in the NFL.

Did anyone see TY Hilton today? He's playing like a clown.

I thought the colts had the best offensive line in the league.

Romeo reminds me of Kubiak. They have a system they run and have a hard time adjusting to players strengths. When the players strengths match the scheme - it is very capable. When they don’t - it’s heavily limited.

So it's Romeo fault? Lol I guess he can take his 4 or 5 super bowl rings with him when he leaves since this city will never understand how to truly address the real issues with its nfl organization.

The canon of PFF ranked Texans secondary as 4th in the league. The Chiefs were 17th. The Texans also had better linebackers and defensive line. Yet Texans couldn't stop Luck on 3rd down and Luck couldn't make any 3rd down conversions. Not saying it is Romeo"s fault but the Texans have the better players on defense.

F the numbers our corners cannot press cover on a island and everyone knows it. No defensive coordinator can change that fact only bringing in different names than Jonathan Joseph, Kevin Johnson and Kareem Jackson changes that.

One of the issues is holding on to coaches too long.

The reason for that is that we have 1 competent CB and probably the best safeties in the NFL....unfortunately outside of that, they have absolute garbage....and they make their safeties worse by playing them out of position at CB. Kareem Jackson and Tyrann Mathieu at safety? Amazing. Now put them as CB's and that's pretty awful.

When you have 4 amazing safeties and only 1 decent CB, your secondary will look good on paper due to those high grades, but a halfway competent QB can easily pick it apart by targeting the weak links. It's similar to the world's strongest Phalanx with a couple of 5 year old children right in the middle of it. That's enough to make the whole thing collapse.

Frank Reich between the first and second week of the playoffs appears to have lost the plot. His days are numbered.

None of the CBs that played in the KC-Indy game were better than Joseph this season. KC was scraping and scraping for CBs, same with Philly. They somehow found a way to put their players in perfect positions. Usually they get creative in generating a pass rush. Not saying Romeo isnt a good coach, but that was bad coaching against the Colts. Especially in the 1st half.
