I had to post this from my phone. On my computer using Chrome, it tells me that the site is not secure and won't allow me to log in. Not sure if others have had this experience, but it's difficult to report it.

    :)

FWIW, turns out I can log in from Safari on my computer. Just a Chrome thing I guess. This has been going on for a couple of days, I was kind of hoping it would just go away but it hasn't.

Yes, Google will block websites that you normally log into with HTTPS if you get direct to the non HTTPS version of the website. This is a security feature and it gave me hell when I had to temporarily disable my SSL certificate on my website when I was migrating CDNs.

TL;DR As long as you use the https link, you'll be fine.

The frustrating part is, the links all appear to be "http" links, so now I'm constantly having to type "https" manually to navigate around the site.

    Very strange

Did you type this explanation wrong? I'm not following. See my notes in your quote.

Did you mean to say that you start at the main page, then click the Forums button to go to http://bbs.clutchfans.net (this is indeed the Forum buttons URL link, not https)

If so, then maybe Clutch would be interested in changing that link to https://bbs.clutchfans.net ... ask him.

Both http and https work fine for me...no warnings.

Also, I still believe you can Whitelist http://bbs.clutchfans.net to have Chrome stop giving you warnings about it. See my first post, or do a further search for Whitelisting. I don't think you need a plugin or anything to stop Chrome, as I can't reproduce your issue in Chrome. So, likely fixable via settings.

Yes, I meant to say http://bbs.clutchfans.net and https://bbs.clutchfans.net

So far the link in your first post is doing nothing for me, and most whitelisting stuff I'm finding is related to whitelisting sites for your kids.

    @DarkHorse

When you say Chrome "doesn't let me log in," can you describe that more and post a screen shot. That's way too vague. I assume there is a warning of some sort. If you look close enough, there might be a click to ignore the warning and proceed....if what you are describing is what I think it is.

Otherwise, when I say "whitelist" I guess I should have said look up "How to add a trusted site to Chrome" or Windows. If you provide a screen shot of the warning, I might be able to do the same for the fix.

You shouldn't have to do this, so it was probably provoked by something editing your settings to make them more strict than most of us.

For me, it keeps taking me to a login prompt on the page. Once you enter your info, it takes you right back to the log in prompt.

FYI, this has just become a way of life for me now. I can log in and it will kind of stay for me, but I have to re-login as soon as the session expires. Been like this for weeks.

I hate when there's a problem and I can't duplicate it. Obviously some of you are running into this. I use Chrome and I don't get the problem. Could it be a Chrome setting?

If not, I'm assuming that Google now doesn't like sites without SSL security (https://) that allows you to login? If that's the case, the only solution is to make the whole forum site https://, but I don't know the downside on that.
