Yeah, but I blame them for making the ground shake every so often. Why they gotta ruin so many buildings and highways and stuff....

Perhaps due to social media exposing these things in a way that simply couldn't have been done in the past?

Being born in the 90's, attending purely public schools in HISD (less than 9% white student population, which I am), I can say I've experienced mostly what your expectations are. The biggest part racism has played in my life has been in comedy and sense of humor, as having such a diverse group of friends has led to mostly race-related jokes. Outside of comedy, I would say I feel a color-blind generation is very plausible in the future from my personal experience.

This is also just a big retail work problem, most people I know in my age group currently work retail, and the stories people have and the frequency of verbal abuse they get from customers is unreal.

I never knew this either, but it's true. Helps explain why we always crushed them in basketball.

    I'm confused by your confusion.

    1. Friendswood was founded by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).
    2. My basketball teams, Clear Creek and subsidiaries, used to regularly crush them in basketball.

Just because we have access to more information than ever doesn't mean we are instantly wiser. And there is more and more fear-mongering and propaganda to drive ideology and voting to certain results. It's a tactic as old as humanity itself.

There has always been racial tensions and there always will be to some extent. The most racist place I have ever lived is Chicago, a city known for diversity.

What I don’t get is, who has the brain space or time to be that racist. It takes a lot of time and effort to go as far as Mr. Friendswood.

Whereas the rest of Texas doesn’t even front their lack of acceptance?

Lack of acceptance in Texas? Go spend some time in Chicago or Ohio or Utah or even Boston.... and the areas outside the cities are even worse.

The worst place I have been from a tolerance stand point was Missouri but Illinois is a close second. Chicago doesn’t give a **** about black people, not at all.
