Case Keenum literally threw more touchdowns than incomplete passes last night. Cougars only had the ball for 17 minutes and were still kind enough not to try for 70. Fun game with no empty seats. If you've been meaning to check out a UH game for a while, now is the time to do it.

Just saw this. Looks like we're definitely done with C-USA. So which is it? Big 12? Big East?

Last I heard it was going to be a super conference of like 32 teams, including Boise St.

Who would win if they played Boise in a bowl game?

I love my Coogs, but I'd take Boise in a shootout

I may be getting ahead of myself, but with the likelihood of the coogs running the table, I checked out what was the possibility we could get into a BCS game.

The most comparable situation was the 2007 Hawaii team led by Colt Brennan that went undefeated in WAC play to get their butts handed to them by Georgia in the Sugar Bowl.

Check out their performance throughout the season:

Worth noting is that they finished ranked #10 and the ONLY unbeaten left. They also only defeated one ranked team, #19 Boise St. And their out of conference opponents were TWO FCS teams and a 4-9 Washington team. The parallels of how each team played against Louisiana Tech is eerie (1 point wins!)

If Southern Miss ends up a one loss team going into the CUSA championship game, they could easily be ranked at least #22 (comparable to the #19 Boise team Hawaii they played).

If we keep our end of the bargain, I think a BCS bowl isn't out of the question!

Plain and simple, we need Boise State to lose. If they don't, we're boned. Thankfully they still have to play TCU, SDSU, and Wyoming, three of their toughest opponents.

Of course, first things first... beating SMU and Tulsa and (hopefully hosting) Southern Miss.

Question for folks. Can UH decline an invite to the Liberty Bowl and instead take the Ticketcity Bowl at the Cotton Bowl? Wouldn't playing Illinois or Iowa in Texas be better than Vanderbilt or Miss. State in Tennessee? It looks like the payout is almost the same.

#12. Major movement. But we still have to run the table. All games from here on out will be tougher than we might think. SMU improved. Tulsa can score like we do. UAB has been traditionally tough on us. and the Conference USA title will be a battle. If we make a BCA bowl or make it to the championship, in my opinion, we earned it. This will not be easy.

The Liberty Bowl pays out half a million more. And I'd much rather play an SEC team in Memphis than a Big 10 team in Dallas. Plus it's a better TV spot/setup (ESPN vs. ESPNU, Dec 30/31 vs. Jan 1)
