I agree with you. I think all presidential candidates should release their returns. I was looking at it from his perspective. Why give the democrats the ammunition? He doesn't care about doing what he said. That's been pretty obvious for a while....

For a minute there the thread title made me think this Danuel House thing has gotten way out of hand.

taking heed of this IRS Code,
the NY state lawmakers are introducing a bill, similar to the above-mentioned IRS Tax Code,
that could force the release of Trump’s state tax returns

Maybe its just me but I don't think there are very many members of the Senate and House that would feel comfortable with others poking around in their finances.

Sure, perhaps. I think more congressional candidates are offering their tax returns. But we are talking about the president, and candidates for presidency have provided their tax returns since Nixon.

I would be interested in pelosi's if they are available. Same with trump. Al sharptons would be neat as well.

I am in favor of that. But again, trump is the president, and president's have been providing their tax returns for the last 40 years.

but its not mandatory. Sticking with I don't think there are very many members of the Senate and House that would feel comfortable with others poking around in their finances. Making it mandatory might be like opening Pandora's box.

I don’t think many of them would like to go under investigation looking for a crime either but hey they’re not the president.

I guess my thing is once you decide to go for one then everyone else becomes fair game as well. I think there are to many powerful people with to much to lose to go down that road.
