Again it was the Tweets that did it? Yeah it had nothing to do with tighter than ever sanctions and the military threat of annihilation, that and the thought that “this crazy mutha may just do what he says he will do”.

I'm still looking for a KPI on how tight the "tighter than ever" sanctions are. It must be a helluva change to make a country that has been sanctioned for decades change their tune in less than a year.

And, just like that, trump reverses field and contradicts his new National Security Advisor:

Honestly it would have more to do with North Korea being less and less able to keep out technology which shows how South Korea and the USA live and there being instability in the regime. Having said that, if North Korea actually plays well with other I have no problem giving the President credit for it.

To be totally fair, he didn't specify in what country the Gaddafi Model would be replicated.

Just the sort of stupidity I've been afraid of. The worst thing trump could do is to show weakness, and cancelling any part of our long scheduled exercises is showing weakness. It's showing that Kim's bluster can have an impact, and trump is doing it against the strongly held views of the Pentagon. What will be next? Offering to pull our troops out of South Korea? That would be an act of madness, in my humble opinion, and trump is entirely capable of doing something that dangerous and that stupid.

Why are people so focused on Trump, when it has been the SK president that facilitated all of this and has been campaigning for peace before he even got elected?
Trump is just playing his part in this up to stroke his ego and manipulate the political base.

Reality TV meets the harsh reality of diplomacy !

Trump aides growing skeptical of Kim summit as South Korea's President visits

Administration aides have grown increasingly skeptical the summit between the POTUS & Kim Jong Un will come to fruition amid harsh rhetoric from Pyongyang and concerns over the meeting's agenda.

The Trump WH's modus operandi---doing things haphazardly--- has pissed away Trump's dream of winning a Nobel prize

Maybe its his fault for campaigning as a 'great negotiator' but second-guessing every tactic probably isn't useful. I won't be breathlessly watching the tea leaves of whether or not this meeting will happen or anything will come of it. I'll wait for the end, then make fun.

I'm of the opinion that this summit is not going to produce jack sh*t.
