His '12 Years a Slave' follow up is a heist film ala Set It Off. This might be the superior Lady heist film of the year. Looks intense. Starring Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Cynthia Erivo, Elizabeth Debick, Colin Farrell & Liam Neeson. Score provided by Hans Zimmer, Duuuurrrrrrr
Damn. Have to admit I like the look of this. Love me some Viola Davis -- trailer makes her seem to be the heart of the film.
Anyone else when they hear or see the name Steve McQueen automatically think the actor (Wanted Dead or Alive/Bullitt) not the director?
I'm intrigued but that "Because no one else believes we have the BALLZ to pull this off" line is cringe-worthy. But McQueen has put out some real quality in the past, so I'll give this a shot.
Pro tip: don't watch this movie or trailers for this movie. I think she will be prominently featured. Personally, I'm looking forward to this one, just based on the cast and director.
Lol. Already saw the preview. It looks ok. I did like 12 Years a Slave. Just pointing out Viola Davis can basically only play one character.
Did anyone that saw this think it was a let down? Aside from the gratuitous boob shot, what a waste of time.
Whoever made those trailers should get a raise. There was one part in the trailer when the bald chick looked like she was running from something, but in the movie she was running to a bus. It was then I knew I had been duped. The movie wasn't that bad, but I was sold a bill of goods.
It wasn't that the acting wasn't good. The acting itself was pretty good I thought. It just really DRAAAAAGGGGGED through the middle and the ending felt so rushed. I'm glad I waited for Redbox, but I should've waited for Netflix.
