Luck, RGIII, Honey Badger, Montee Ball, and Trent Richardson. Who you got?

The 1st place votes probably get split quite a bit, so this is going to come down to who gets put most on the 2nd place ballots. I have a feeling that means it comes down to Luck or Richardson as the biggest "name" players.

FWIW, Montee Ball runs circles around Richardson in terms of performance, and RG3 does the same to Luck. I have no idea why Mathieu is even in the mix, but hopefully he splits some of the Richardson vote from the SEC voters.

"The outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity."

No way Tyrann Mathieu should be there IMO

If you go by statistics alone it should be:
    1. Ball
    2. RGIII
    3. Trent Richardson
    4. Luck
    5. Mathieu

But we all know politics are involved.

RG3 would normally get my vote 9/10, but I hope Mathieu wins. Enough with qbs/rbs always winning it.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that Mathieu liked to eat glue on occasion.

I'd like to see Mathieu win it as well, but I don't know that we'll ever see a non-offensive skill player win the award ever again. I think Ndamukong Suh got about as close as anyone will.

Imagine RG III on a team like LSU or Bama. It wouldn't be fair.

It's clear which player is the best in the nation.

The Heisman is such a joke this year.

LaMichael James was the best running back in the country this yeard, hands down. Four 200-yard games, 1,646 yards rushing, 1,856 total yards all despite missing two games. And he is not invited. Are you kidding me?

Case Keenum had 45 TDs with only 5 INTs. Denard Robinson still getting no love despite being probably the most exciting, versatile and feared offensive player in the country.

Tyrann Mathieu? Never even heard of the guy. Hopefully this year is not another Troy-Smith-give-it-to-the-guy-on-the-undefeated-team.
