Mitchell native Mike Miller intends to sign a five-year, $30 million deal with the Miami Heat, sources told KSFY late Thursday night.

Earlier in the night, LeBron James announced his intention to sign with Miami, joining Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade with the Heat.

Miller spent last season with the Washington Wizards.

The only way I can see this as being possible is if the big three are taking even more of a pay cut. Wow.

No one said how much they were taking.

Theoretically, they could all be incredible masterminds, take half and have plenty of room for other vets.

This could be an all-star team in the making. I hate it.

Good signing. Miller will get more wide-open jumpers than he can shake a stick at. He's also a decent passer, can handle and will have no trouble blending into whatever offense the Heat run.

They still need a starting PG because Chalmers doesn't cut it. And a C.

Where are you hearing that Shaq will be the center? He would be perfect for them though. Just monitor his minutes.

Jesus Miami is gonna be in beast mode 24/7. This is the best possible signing Miami could have hoped for (after The Decision(TM)). Mike Miller obviously won't have to do that distributing garbage he'd been doing for the last couple years and he can get back to what he was one of the best in the league at: pure shooting.

Only thing left for Miami now is big men. I'm guessing with Mikey now paid, they can't afford Brad Miller or Shaq right?

Damn, Miller hit 48% of his 3's last season.

After the Beasley trade they now have around $5M of cap space or $6M if they rescind Joel Anthony's qualifying offer. The Beasley trade also gives them a $4.xM TE to use. In a way they doubled up their war chest by trading away Beasley.

Yup that's why I've been wanting him on this team for the past 5 years... It's what we need to surround Yao with..

3pt shooters who actually shoot a good percentage.. Anyone over 40% out there for the taking?

Is there any way that the Heat could spend all of their capspace on free agents and then somehow get over the cap and have access to the MLE?

Or is the MLE/LLE out of the question for a team in Miami's situation?

How are they allowed to get a TE for trading Beasley? That seems like a way to circumvent the cap and get additional salary....like they get to double up. Just doesn't sound right.

So if the total contract is $30M then what is the 1st yr breakout of that? They need more cap room now to sign guys.
